For those who need inspiration to ride their bikes to work, next week is the annual Bike to Work Week in Victoria. Details here: https://www.biketowork.ca/victoria
Today I entered the Commuter Challenge where cyclists race against car drivers to get to the same destination. In this case, we raced from Beckley Farm Lodge to the Starbucks at Fort and Blanshard, me transporting an 89 year old gent in a Cycling Without Age trishaw. We beat the car commuter by about five minutes, proving for the umpteenth time that when you factor destination to destination commuting times in a city like Victoria, the bike almost always wins. My passenger was surprisingly calm and there was very little shrieking in terror.
If you want more details about Cycling Without Age, check out the video on the homepage at: http://cyclingwithoutage.ca/victoria/
We'll also be schmoozing with the crowds at the Cook Street Block Party this Sunday (May 27th)

Of course he means the other Steve Lund.Bosie wrote:Is that Steve Lund in the Wagon?
And Craig, why aren't you in the picture? Don't you follow with a dustpan and broom and sweep up Alan's road apples?
Re: Bike to Work Week and Cycling Without Age...
That was indeed Steve Lund in the wagon. Speaking of Steve, I found a Gif of him winning a recent running race. Congratulations Steve...

Caught this glimpse of Alan this morning, readying himself for Steve Lund and the A2 ride.
