Starting the list for the next Great Trail Adventure
Several people have already said they would like to go on the next Great Trail Adventure. I'm not sure if I will be going, but I thought I would start a list here so that the next organizer has a starting point.
Here's the list of people I know of that weren't able to make it this time that I think said they would like to go next time:
- Tom B
- Paul O'C
- Greg F
- Jason W (not yet a member, but will be soon)
- Rob G
- Andrew N
- Martin F
Please copy and paste this list and add your name if you want to go too!

Re: Starting the list for the next Great Trail Adventure
Be careful out there as you prepare yourself for the next Great Trail Adventure.
There are strange things on the Yellow Brick Road, and when you start translating your intentions into Gifs, there are witches guarding your every move...
But the company you'll keep is out of this world....

A post by Alan that’s appropriate for all audiences and work environments??
Clearly, today’s ride took more out of Alan than even he realized!
Alan, rest up buddy. The year is young and there remains plenty of cheeks to be blushed and sensibilities to be crushed.
Till then, we gotcha covered:

Re: Starting the list for the next Great Trail Adventure
Let’s talk dates
My personal preference is: 16 June, 2nd choice is 23 June. (cant do either Sunday and judging from the last crowd, another day off was needed!)
For me, and I imagine others with little(r) ones, once school lets out, there will be conflicts with most weekends due to family trips. And it’s only going to get more hot in July and August (heaven forbid I ride my bike without knee warmers....)

Re: Starting the list for the next Great Trail Adventure
Is the Great Trail Adventure a 'GO' for this coming Saturday 16 June?
Re: Starting the list for the next Great Trail Adventure
Hi Steven and all
Not too much response on the poll, so let’s say 16 June it is!
Just got back from another trip so I’m a little planned out tonight.
I’ll conjur some spirits, shake some chicken bones and read some tea leaves for a rough ride Plan over the next couple days. All inputs welcome.

Re: Starting the list for the next Great Trail Adventure
That's great! I'm in..... My girlfriend Val will be here from Edmonton with her cross bike and would like to ride too. Is it okay if she rides with us? She is pretty fit but if the pace of the group is too much we will hang back and go at our own pace,
Thanks,
Tom B
Thanks,
Tom B
Re: Starting the list for the next Great Trail Adventure
Tom,
Awesome! My plan is to stick together (safety in numbers, more people to blame if we get lost, etc etc).
Honestly, without Jonny Tyre's leadership out there, I'm more interested in her survival skills than her VO2_max.

Re: Starting the list for the next Great Trail Adventure
Two softball double-headers this Saturday; I'm out. Have fun!
Re: Starting the list for the next Great Trail Adventure
I have to be back at noon on Saturday, but maybe I can start with you.

JT’s a poser. Look’n for survival skills? Go with Greg F.
Re: Starting the list for the next Great Trail Adventure
Help! I'm blinded by giffy brilliance and can't locate useful information. What time and from where will this ride start?
Re: Starting the list for the next Great Trail Adventure
Can’t remember where I saw this or maybe it was a complete Nutella-induced hallucination, but I thought we might do the Great Trail counter-clockwise this time, taking the 840 Brentwood Bay ferry.
Rob, that probably wouldn’t work well for you...
Anyone else have reservations on doing it that direction? The good thing is the sweet trails are towards the end and we get the ferry out of the way. The bad thing is we may be so knackered from the steeper-than-thou hills to give a hoot about hooting it up on the sweet trails.
