Club Executive for 2010

All of the members of the 2009 Executive are hoping to stay on and work even harder for you in 2010. They are:

Pres - Peter L
V/Pres - Lister
Sec - Kim G
Treas - Rob Mc
Dir 1 - Dylan R.
Dir 2 - Sarah W

We have also had AWESOME support behind the scences from both Galen and Roland for the website. As well as Roland, Ramzey and Galen for the gear.

Having said all of that I have never met a volunteer I didnt want to make use of so.... anyone else want to get involved in running your cycling club? Let me know.

If there are other interested in "running" for any specific spot (i.e. wants my job) let me know and we will have an actual election otherwise we will acclaim the 2009 Board for 2010 and look to do even bigger and better things next year.

A final note - there are lots of "little" jobs or projects that people could take on if they wanted. We have a couple of races to put on, the Nanaimo2Victoria ride, we need a way to upload and share pictures, recruitment stuff, jr. development projects, sponsorship stuff as well as a wide variety of other things so if you want to help keep your club the ass kicking club it is dont be shy to volunteer a bit (or a lot) of time for anything that is good for the group. We would all love to make use of your willingness to help us all out

Peter, thanks to you, the executive and all the members for establishing such a terrific club. As someone new to road riding it has been a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere that is difficult to find anywhere, let alone in cycling. I look forward to sporting the clown outfit and the witty repartee throughout 2010.

On the volunteer front, if you need help with sponsorship that is an area where I've spent considerable time. Let me know how I can assist.

Hey Pete,

I'm ready to be the waiver police, any time you want to send me your naughty list.

I usually like to be on the board of organizations I get involved in -- but I'm still pretty green at this bicycling thing, so I'll sit at the back and let others pull into the wind.

Having said that, I hope to help out with whatever else needs doing over the coming year. I have a background in PR and I'm good at nagging and being whiny. I also have a Masters in Baiting.
