Saturday sufferfest 6am

Post by Claire »

What's better than riding 100k before most people even get their lazy asses out of bed? Not much, that's what. Throw in a shot of espresso before, and another steamy cuppa joe at the end, and you've got yourself a perfect start to the weekend, no?

Thinking of doing a clockwise routing, as two weeks ago. If anyone wants to join along the way, we'll leave Cook St SBux at 6:05 and take the Goose to Interurban, etc.

Pace will be steady at 30-ish km/hr average.

All true except for maybe the last sentence. (I guess it depends on how you interpret that "ish".)

Unless the rain is heavy I plan on going. Only two of us last week, hopefully more tomorrow. Cook st. Starbucks @ 6am.

Is anyone considering/interested in doing an early one this Saturday? I'm still weighing my options but if I'd certainly be alone, I'll almost certainly not do this... Although, suffering alone is true suffering, I suppose.

Not true. You have not suffered fully if no one else has witnessed and mocked your tears and despair.

Geez, Steve you just reminded me how long it's been since I've mocked you. I'm not sure why, but sometimes you remind me of Groundskeeper Willie. So, instead of being a cyclist, just imagine you're a basketball player and we, Tripleshot riders, are watching you make your way down the court. Shrieks and groans indeed....

I think you two should get your own forum/virtual love-nest to enable easy spectating of your adoring compliments thinly disguised as verbal pot shots.

(I also think unnecessary giffy usage - which is to say all of it - should stay on the already-giffy-polluted cx forum where it's best appreciated.)

p.s. Looks like it'll be you and me at 6 tomorrow morning, Alan!

If you'd been paying attention Clair then you'd know that our very own Alan is struggling with a giphy addiction. To help Alan, and others similarly afflicted, I have set up a safe thread where all are welcome and where we as a loving community can offer these folks all the compassion we can muster.

I won't post this on the giffy addiction page because after searching high and low
for a gif that could really capture the best Clairesque meme, I had to settle for this. Hope you like it.

I came here looking for information about a ride. I guess I must be in the wrong place!

Sad, how it's degenerated, isn't it? To bring this back on topic, I will not be riding at 6am as there were no takers to my initial request for company and the forecasted temperature for that time is barely above zero. Maybe I'll see you out on the road somewhere at little later, though :)
