I'll zip up the hill and have a quick look later this morning or early afternoon and report back.

I think you are missing the obvious. This route will be easy to find from our starting location, and could have the sprint section down Cadboro Bay Road. The loop is 0.170 km, so I'm suggesting sprints on laps 50 and 100.

Now THERE’s a route truly “inspired by CX”, Eric!

(Though, despite several curbs, it offers insufficient dirt, grass, sand, stairs, barriers, off-camber turns, and PBR hand-ups.)

Lansdowne between Cadboro Bay and Henderson I still wide open as of 2pm and shows no sign of imminent closure. I suggest using the usual routes but taking extra care on the first pass through.

Thanks, Andrew, for venturing out in the deluge to provide this update. If the forecast bears out, it may actually be a little more conducive to a pleasant pedal around the golf course by tomorrow morning. It certainly can't get any wetter.

Bravo Eric. Not sure about all those curbs Rolf, wasn’t your paper route north? At worst - or best, depending on perspective - there might be a fence.

OK...Henderson it is. Let's take the first lap slow to check for debris/signs/CX obstacles.

I see blue sky appearing...

You’ll find two signs (at least). One approaching Landsdowne while on Cadboro Bay, and the other approaching Cedar Hill while on Henderson. They’re not blocking but they’re there on the road, so be aware. Enjoy.

February Update: I spoke to one of the crew working at the very large hole at the intersection of Lansdowne and Westdowne this afternoon. He said that as far as he knows, the construction is at the single location, and will NOT migrate east to the Lansdowne section between Henderson and Caddy Bay. Yay to that!

So we should be able to carry on uninterrupted and be thankful we didn't have to disturb another neighborhood .... or use Eric's route. I would however like to see him do 3 laps next time he is out. That's a dare Mr. S.! ;)
