Who's afraid of Jack Frost?

Post by BearPope Recruit »

Just wondering if people are still planning on riding tomorrow? I'm not sure what the road conditions will be like with the cooler temperatures and frost early in the morning, and if it would be safe, particularly for the tandem?
Thoughts? Thanks, Jen & Carly

Good question. There was a slippery section on Tolmie on Wednesday (or so I am told - only those who had to get off their seat  noticed it). I think we might find the same thing on Blenkinsop tomorow. We could look at the temperature map in the morning and then set a course with that information in mind. Straight to coffee might be the safest thing :D

+5 degrees at UVic, zero almost everywhere else. The bunny effect. Peter says I need to do some UVic laps .. maybe today is the day.

It was fine, no ice at all, though we all expected it. We stayed on the Lansdowne/Hendrson circuit vs the usual Friday route, which meant we didn't have to wonder about ice on every corner. I hear yesterday was worse; slipping back wheels on Tolmie.
