New Tripleshot Kit unveiling
Hi all
I know that you have been long awaiting the final design for the new kit.
As VP and using the "Art isn't done by committee" statement overheard during Friday coffee last week I am proud to present......................
No moaning!!

I knew you were an inspired pick for this responsibility. Looks great! Perfect for hoofing it up Ash, or horning in on a lead-out.
But will the halter top be available in CS ThermoShield®? My nipples get cold easily.

Alternatively - this skin-suit offers nipple protection with a full-zip option for warmer summer rides. Google tells me that it also comes in baby blue, and with optional arm-fringes.

That's not going to go well with your new bike Neil. I'm not an expert, but pink and red doesn't seem right. And just to be clear... pink isn't the only thing wrong with that option.

Not bad so far. More pixie dust and argyle is required. And animals. The new kit must have depictions of animals. I am going to boycott any new kit unless it is festooned with at least one small peacock head, like the image below. Or maybe some ducks, or deer. Or a bunny. Look, our kit should reflect the diversity of the flora and fauna in our midst... don't ya think? We love animals and they love us. The farm team put chickens on their kit due to my request, so please, at least one peacock. No racoons though. Racoons are evil... trust me on that one.

Yeah Neil...where are the tassels?!
Andrew, it would be too easy to "moderate" that kit proposal. Like shooting peacocks in a barrel.

And rhinestones, we need lots of sparkly rhinestones (particularly if we get another black stealth kit)

Re: New Tripleshot Kit unveiling
I still recall getting my first piece of Tripleshot kit.
I bought a baby-blue jersey from Roland the night before the 2010 Nanaimo-2-Victoria charity ride. I knocked on his sliding glass door. It opened. I put $50(?) into the proffered hand. The hand withdrew. It reappeared about a minute later holding a new jersey. The door slid closed. I never did see Roland. Felt like I was doing a drug deal!
The next morning I traveled up to Nanaimo on the event bus to the start of the N2V ride - with all the sane people (our bikes followed in a truck). At some point we passed a peloton of about 16 baby-blue-clad Tripleshotters riding UP to Nanaimo and I thought to myself - OMG, these people really are bat-shit crazy!
As an aside, the Nanaimo-2-Victoria ride was spectacular. A full police escort all the way. Bombing down the Malahat without any cars around was the highlight. It's really too the event has since been discontinued.
Hmmm....

Still my longest day in the saddle. I also miss riding a closed lane of the Island Highway in a proper peloton.John D wrote:...a peloton of about 16 baby-blue-clad Tripleshotters riding UP to Nanaimo and I thought to myself - OMG, these people really are bat-shit crazy!
To swing this thread back to the new kit, and hopefully to ensure the current kit design process is informed by history (many comments are likely still valid), I offer a few choice forum threads from before and after the introduction of our last kit redesign in 2012:
The initial invitation for comment and preferences (including Seussian doggerel.)
The big reveal of the new kit—and its fallout.
