Heal up, Wonger!
I'll be out with knobbies tomorrow; I'm hoping for wet and messy!

Re: Cross Ride
Just so you all know, this is what happens at cross races...
Who's in for a Tuesday morning rip? Can't promise cheerleaders but it will be fun!#38
Re: Cross Ride
Friday cross - coffee at Pure Vanilla or Shoal Point? The answer to that crucial question will determine our route...

Re: Cross Ride
I have yet to do 10 Mile Point this year and I need your guidance in there, Geoff. I'm also keen to try some (borrowed) fatter tires on Caddy Bay beach.
So I'll vote staying up around UVic/Uplands and finishing at PV...

Re: Cross Ride
Im just a newbie following along so dont count my vote for much....The further North we go, the earlier I have to peel off though ..So I like Rolfs suggestion.

Re: Cross Ride
PV for sure. If Shoal Point I'll be peeling off early and not going to coffee. PV I can make a quick coffee if we finish early enough. But hey, I know it's not all about me.
Re: Cross Ride
Will have to miss. Drinking and eating in Hanoi where dodging traffic should keep me fit till I return.

What a klutz!
Click on the image below and you'll see what it was like having Alan riding his mountain bike with these professional crossriders... (hint: I'm the dog)

Re: Cross Ride
Just a reminder that FarmCross Wednesdays are still a thing and should continue well into November: meet 6:00 a.m. at the church at Richmond and Richardson, warm-up with the Farmers up Shelbourne, before jumping off and taking various unpaved alternate routes to coffee around 7:20 with the group in Cook Street Village: e.g. pq̕áls, Bow/Ferndale Park, Braefoot, Cedar Hill GC, Summit Park, Vic High, Porter Park etc.

Re: Cross Ride
Apologies to anyone else who, like Louise, waited for us to come up Shelbourne this morning, as suggested by my post above. Group consensus was to stay south, ride Willows, and end up at Beacon Hill.
Some of the best things about these early-morning cross rides are that at least some of the route is spontaneous and no two rides are the same. Having said that, I expect next Wednesday to be back up towards Mt. Doug.
Also: have you registered yet for Sunday's CrossFondo? It's a great way to support Tripleshot and it's the most fun you'll have on two wheels this year!

Re: Cross Ride
Friday cx - same same but different. Bring a really good light and a clip-on fender if you have one. Alan are you bringing your new wheels?

Re: Cross Ride
Back in town for the weekend 14-15, looking to ride? Anyone going Saturday the 14th? I'll ride anything, just rather do so together....

The Whinger will be out, whingeing about his poor widdle blisters.
If anyone is still willing to follow me in the dark, I promise to try to avoid low-hanging branches this time.
