A peloton or pace-line needn't be a cacophony.
Let's try not to be so loud when we organize at Oak Bay High, ride along Shelbourne, and assemble at the top of King George, etc. etc. If, for example, the speed isn't fast enough, or is too fast, that info can be shared without yelling from the back all the way to the front. Steady up when you hear the command, and if the person in front doesn't when you ask them to, let them go. How embarrassing for them to be off the front in a no-drop ride!

I've previously received noise complaints from residents near our right turn onto Hendserson from Lansdowne (on Tuesdays), and from folks near the re-grouping point at the top of Ash (on Fridays). Not cool.
Remember, "share the road" extends to sharing the early morning peace and quiet - particularly in residential areas.
