Does this ride happen regularly? What's a typical pace? I have a friend who's inquiring. She's looking for a ride with a 25km average pace, approximately.

It does happen regularly. They start at the switch bridge. Joanna likes to take charge.
Re: Tues women's ride
There is also a ride from OBB on Monday nights that I think is fairly friendly and mellow she might want to check out.
Re: Tues women's ride
Hmmmm, I like to take charge? Not sure what I make of that! But I do remind riders to drink water on hot days!
This group has become so well-oiled that we often split into two groups if there are different speed levels desired (between 23-27) and it all works out well. Size ranges from 8-16 riders, distance is 35-45km depending on route and desire of group.
Many of the riders are very familiar with the different route options now (Interurban - Goward-Prospect Lake-EN), (Interurban -Observatory-Sparton_Elk Lake), (Lochside - Hunt - Keating) etc etc that honestly, I'm not in charge!
If you know someone who would like to try this ride, please send them to join us! We will ride until the last Tuesday of September as it's getting dark earlier by then.

Re: Tues women's ride
I just went out for the Thursday morning women's ride for the first time in a long time. There were about 14 riders, and most (I think) graduates of the Women's TSC Cycling Clinic. Joanna Fox, as usual, was there leading the group. It was a thoroughly pleasant ride, and with the exception of one new rider, all veterans of the ride.
Joanna has done such a great job encouraging women to participate, and she's there every week (sometimes she's the only one to show up the suckiest weather!). And the Tuesday evening rides continue to draw big numbers, another Joanna initiative.
Keep on riding Joanna!
