In case anyone else is curious... Peter is currently 14 minutes into his swim in Alta Lake. His bib number is 1184 if anyone wants to track him on the ironman site. I'll post a couple of updates as he goes along.

Peter has completed the swim in 1:18:09. He'll soon be off and more in his element on his bike! 180 km to go until the marathon.

This is so exciting Laura. I hope that Peter feels nice and clean now after that long bath in preparation for the bike race today.

Peter has reached the 87 km mark on the bike portion of the race. He's got some nice flat roads in Pemberton before 30 km of climbing back up to Whistler Village.

Peter has passed the 151 km mark. He's going strong and so far has averaged 29.4 km/hr on the bike. Time to climb back to Whistler!

Peter is off the bike in a very respectable time of 6:27:11! Now to run a marathon!
