Speedway VCL races

You are in luck Eric... there's another Speedway race in 3 weeks (June 7th). Hold on to that Sardinia fitness.

Last night went well - thanks for the help and to everyone for coming out to race.

The A and the B race had break aways that lapped the field. In both cases we had a bell for the field and then a second bell for the break aways (7 riders in the B race and 8 riders in the A race). All racers managed this double finish very well. I am sure it was the first time for many. If it happens again, we'll all be even better prepared for it.

My impression is that the medal ceremonies are a fun addition to the proceedings.

Hi everyone,

The last TS Speedway Race is this evening. Last chance to race at the speedway and last chance to help out!

If possible, I'd like to leave early (to attend the Oak Bay High graduation). It would be great to have someone there that can shut everything down. It's not hard, I can train you in 10 min. But it does mean staying to the very end (about 8:45 pm).

For those that don't know - racing will start at 6 pm (C race). It would be great to have a couple of volunteers by 5:30 pm. I will be there at 5 pm. I will send out a race schedule this evening - I expect to run races a little longer than in the past to take advantage of the late sunset.

Let me know if you can make it (PM or just reply here).

VCL site says 6:30 pm, so that's what it will have to be - I don't want to miss anyone.

June 7th racing schedule:

C race: 6:30 pm - 20 min plus 5 laps
B race: 7:00 pm - 35 min plus 5 laps
A race: 7:45 pm - 45 min plus 5 laps
