This is a most morbidly fascinating blog on so many levels- Who would have thought so many people cheated in Marathons and who would have thought somebody would care so much to find them- Not cycling, I know, but some interesting reading:

I was at the finish line of the Boston marathon waiting for my dad in 1980 when the first women crossed to win. I couldn't believe it; she just came out of nowhere. Turns out, she came out of the subway to win. Long before there was GPS, cell phones, strava or security cameras...

The race win was eventually awarded to Canadian Jacky Gareau, who actually looked like she had run a marathon.

Thanks for the post, re: New Yorker article. Akin to an unbelievable narrative depicting an onion being peeled in slow motion, ever stinkier as the layers get removed.
