Thanks Claire! I, then we (met up with Mikael and Roxanne closer to the golf course) did head out. And we were dressed Warm!

The roads were good till Royal Oak and Lochside. From there to Sydney there was lots of snow on the side of the road and some slush on the road but no ice. Roxanne, Mikael and I stopped for tea and coffee in Sydney then rode back the way we had come out.

It was ok. A tough ride for me. I sort of bonked at 90 K; just lost power and energy real quickly! But, goal distance reached even if it was a bit slower than I had hoped for.

Next weekend, back into the hills of Metchosin/East Sooke, weather permitting of course.
