Cycling B.C. discount before January 1st
I read on the Cycling B.C. newsletter that there is a earlybird discount of 10% if you register before the end of 2016.

The 2017 Tripleshot membership website is now open.
Here's how it works:
1. First, you need to purchase a Cycling BC membership or race license here:
https://cyclingbc.net/membership/registration-2017
After doing so you will receive an email from Cycling BC with your Registration Confirmation Number.
2. Next, go to https://www.bikereg.com scroll down and enter "Tripleshot" in the "Event Name or Location" search field.
3. Select "Tripleshot Cycling Club 2017 Membership"
4. Tick the "Club Membership" box. After that you can choose to register using an existing BikeReg Account (e.g. if you did so last year), or continue without a BikeReg login.
5. Next, fill in the contact info as requested, including your 2017 Cycling BC Registration Confirmation Number. Note that in order to complete your registration you will need to commit to volunteering for at least one Tripleshot event in 2017.
6. Proceed to "Checkout" to complete your payment
7. Come out and ride with Tripleshot!

Hi John,
For those registering for UCI licenses, is there a way to get around the Confirmation number thingy as we dont get our licenses as quickly as those not getting UCI licenses (that is instant). They just send you confirmation that you have paid, but no confirmation number.

In the past they've provided a registration confirmation number. But I didn't see one on the "you've registered!" web-page, or in the confirmation email. So I just used my CBC member number (starts with "BC000...") and it worked fine.
This process, with CBC, CCN, and BikeReg, is pretty insane. No hack on our side—I'm sure we have little choice. But the whole process sure feels complex compared to most online purchase/registration experiences.

So after Rolf mentioned that he put in his CBC licence, I went back and just put something like:
"Confirmation email from CBC received" in that field"
It went through..
So looks like its not a field that needs something specific...

Re: Cycling B.C. discount before January 1st
The Cycling BC website is much improved this year! Way more clarity on what type of license is required.
AND in case you hadn't noticed, and a huge incentive to sign up ASAP for Jan 1, is that as part of the license they now include 24/7 personal accident insurance (for cycling + other activities):

That would have paid for all my physio after my hip fracture a few years back; nice!

I did too.
Re: Cycling B.C. discount before January 1st
I might be a procrastinator (who missed out on the discount - argh) but I am now a dutiful fee-paying, card-carrying member. So, that feels good. Go ahead, try it!
