Looked out at 5:45 am and went back to bed. Anyone else? I plan to make up for that by riding to Mattick's, then up Sayward to Oldfield, and then back via Royal Oak. Maybe and begin and end at Pure Vanilla. Let me know if you want to join - I figure it will take between an hour and an hour and a half. Walking dogs first, so anytime after 11 am should work. John! I passed you ( in a warm vehicle ) heading south through Mount Doug Park at 12:15 ish. You were slogging uphill in the deluge and I felt sorry for you briefly but then recalled how those of us on the real ride at 6am were battling headwinds and SNOW going up Blenkinsop!! You need to walk your dogs at 5am!

There was fresh snow on the ground along the highest parts of Oldfield. Miserable and fantastic, like all bad-weather rides. Thanks for the moment of sympathy Andrew.
