Rain & mud. Everything you need for cross. About 25 people out, including Peter, Glenowyn, a lady with rainbow stripes on her jersey and I. 4 laps of slipping and sliding, good times were had by all.
Judging from my gps data, it looks like I took a few short cuts. But really, I was just lost.

it was actually pretty fun. Great course with a good mix of terrain where I (as a rank amateur) felt like i could actually ride a bit before getting knocked on my ass by "technical" stuff. I bailed out after lap #3 shortly after i went down in a corner thinking I could keep up with Alison Syder as she lapped me - whoops!

Hey if it's any consolation, last week I saw Alison slide and have to unclip and touch her foot down to keep from falling on a grassy corner. Then there was me, catching my front wheel on a 2 mm grass edge and going down like Steve Moore after the Bertuzzi hit, but with no-one to blame! Wet grass is forgiving tho. Didn't even feel stiff the next day. Ah, vitamin 'I'.
