CX racing (and bike borrowing)

You know what I love about this club? I mean, other than the "free" coffee after all the rides, and the pre-planned group rides pretty much every day of the week, and the witty banter on the forum (including poetry!)...? It's the community of generous and like-minded souls who come together in support of one another on such a regular basis.

As someone who wants to dabble (again) in c-x and is not quite ready (financially or emotionally) to commit to a new bike purchase, I'm wondering if any of the aforementioned generous club members (who also happens to be smallish) would lend me a cx bike for the Sept 11 race at Topaz. I will happily repay the generosity with home baking and/or booze. And a freshly cleaned bike, of course.

Claire - what category are you going to race in? If you are going to do the elite race, there should be lots of time for me to token clean my bike (hose it down and oil the chain) after the intermediate race (the kids races, and masters races are in-between). It's a 50, so should be an okay size for you. Let me know if you're interested.
