I would encourage anybody who hasn't done these masters races to try them out. They are well run, have really good longer courses, are a lot of fun, are a great workout for cross and it is important to support this series. A number of TSC regulars are heading up.

Last Masters race Sunday

Re: Last Masters race Sunday
I plan to ride this last Masters event of the year. It's a lovely course with a couple of challenging hills through the Cowichan Valley farmland and vineyards. Paul told me he'd join me ... so, no extra room in my car. Any others planning to drive up?

Re: Last Masters race Sunday
Joe, I'd be up for this. What time are you planning on arriving there? What is an Aussie pursuit? POC.
Re: Last Masters race Sunday
Aussie pursuit is a hand so calculation where each decade goes off at times intervals... 80 yo first- 70s 60s 50s 40s then finally 30s. Sometimes groups combine depending on numbers. The job is to have each cohort work together to catch the cohorts up the road and then th gloves come off and it's everyone for themselves. Last year the 40s were winning, this year has been 50 yo dominance. It means that while the race starts at 11, you may be sitting at the start until 11:20 before you get to roll. This is a hilly course, nice venue.

That's got it Andrew! Thanks for responding to POC. I've just sent a note off to Paul, I'm not sure if he's still planning on sharing a ride with me, I haven't heard from him all week. I hope he gets back to me tonight or tomorrow morning. If Paul isn't planning on travelling up to Cherry Pt. I will have room for one more.

MY PR card finally arrived so I am going to ride Hurricane tomorrow. I missed all the rides this summer so will be solo. Enjoy the race.
