Crash on last Sunday's ride (August 21st)

Post by John D »

I gather that there was a crash near the end of the Sunday ride. Can anybody tell me who went down and whether anyone has been in touch with him/her since to see how they're doing?

Thanks,
J.

From ride comments found on Strava:
There was a mishap and we waited for ambulance. Micheal Dann bumped his head :(

His front tire was going flat when he turned to head over the switch bridge. His front wheel slipped out. It didn't seem like anything was broken but he was really having trouble with balance and couldn't stand.

I'm not sure Micheal's last name. It was Michelle Dann's brother in law. I was glad to here that he was well enough to go to work on Monday.

It was Michael Maitland, John. Road rash, helmet totaled, but head A-okay.

:D Thanks to everyone for assisting me on Sunday. Helmet is a write-off. But it did what it is supposed to do. Bike is fine. I've got a bit of road rash and a bit of a headache. Will take a few days off. Again, thanks. Michael
