So, this is a bit of a Mother Hen post.
I've been on a couple of rides recently where, irrespective of the hoarse warnings from the back, we still don't tighten up and move over to the right when being tailed by a car. At best our failure to do so fosters a reputation of being a-holes on the road, and at worst it tempts an idiot driver to try some risky driving. Which puts us poor schmucks in a vulnerable position.
As John says, "Car back!" is an action item. Lets, um, "action" it.
Car back!

The youth team ride tight so they fit in a bike lane side by side. We call it a skill improvement drill that will help them win bike races. But it's also safe and polite.
So maybe instead of thinking of it as nagging, think of it as a step to coffee ride domination.
