As some know I've ordered a Naked Cross frame from Sam Whittingham on Quadra Island. Its a long wait - April 2017 and Its quite a lot of money for my ultimate bike but I am loving the anticipation.
Some say if I am spending that much I should go for the Di2 electronic shifting for an extra $1000!!! Eeek!!! Ive never used Di2 and I know I will be happy with 11 speed Ultegra.
I am interested to know what you think? Do you have Di2 or tried a bike with it? Would you go for it?

Road or Cross bike? I am not familiar with a Naked Cross frame.
If road, Shimano Di2 or Sram or Campy electronic. Amazing shifting. No time spent in the shop for shifting related repairs. I love it.

Its a bike for both road riding and cycle cross. It will be light and I can change the tires for road.

I agree with Barton.
Im not sure about Cross, but I have Di2 on my road bike and wouldnt go back. Smooth, super easy to tune and hastle free.
(You could probably find a deal somewhere for a Di2 groupset for less than $1000 difference.)

Not experienced using it myself, but for road bikes, I think it would be great.
My advice is be careful for cross, as the muck and water ingress may cause premature wear, which equates for frequent expensive replacement.

As per Fozzy's comment if you browse through the archives here: http://www.cxmagazine.com/category/cycl ... e-profiles you'll find that more than a few pros who aren't on the Sram CX1 setup do in fact use Di2. I'd still be leery, because they often have mechanics who frequently take apart and clean their bikes obsessively.

I am pretty sure I will go for it. I am having the bike set up so I can change from geared to single speed for mucky cross riding. I am sorting through the posts on the cxmagazine. I am a bit of a bike mechanic myself so I might be one of those obsessive types when it comes to maintenance and cleaning!

If you have the dough, get Di2. Brent from VeloFix loves Di2 so much he switches his Di2 setup from his road bike to his cross bike for cross season.
