Temporary route change to Sunday Social ride?

More than a few people suggested a temporary re-routing of the Sunday ride to avoid the loose gravel on Island View Road. Just an idea: Would it be feasible to replace Island View with an out-and-back up Newton Heights? If we continued north on East Saanich, left on Haldon, then left on Newton Heights returning via Haldon it would be roughly a 6.5 km loop ( Island View adds 5.5 km ) and would include a hill or two. We could re-group at Haldon/Newton Heights and again at Central Saanich Municipal 4 way stop. It could be a change of scenery for a few weeks while the dust and rock chips settle.

Sounds good to me too Louise because you will probably be on my wheel for about 260km s on Sunday ,,,and we wont really care where all our low mileage team mates ride.
