Cycleangelo on Discovery Channel

Post by Lund »

Several people have asked me to post a link to the spot that aired recently on Discovery Channel's "Daily Planet". Here it is...

Nice story Steve!

That particular Stravadoodle reminded me of my high-school English teacher, who insisted on pronouncing Gandalf as "Gan-daff", his reasoning being that the second syllable, dalf, should rhyme with "half".

Then again, this is the same guy who pronounced maniacal as "maniackle", and banal as "bane-al". How he ever became an English teacher is beyond me. My guess is that he was probably even worse at math.

Totally unrelated - check out this piece on what would happen if the GPS system were to crash:

Pretty impressive Steve, or can I call you Wankerangelo? You've certainly achieved the big leagues in the doodle department. Only one small objection to your narrative, which I was most happy to see involved you shedding a few drops of egotistical blood for the cause:

"...when I started out, people clamoured for more..."

Really?
Note to file Tripleshot Brethren: When Steve started out, I, for one, was not "clamouring" for more of his narcissistic wankerdoodles. In fact, I was probably the only one lobbying in the TripleShot peleton, and occasionally in highly refined verse in this forum, for Steve to get a real job.

Anyways, and forgive me if I'm too lazy to compose a poetic riposte to your marshmellowy ego: I'm glad you ignored me, and decided to make something admittedly cool on a bike. You've proved that you can map artistic images on our fine city while the rest of us grubby peons spin our wheels and drink coffee. Cylcelangelo--and I have to suppress a gag reflex when I type that word--you are creating 'art' that ennobles our lives.

Aah, spring! That time of year when life and love renews from the cold, dark, wet winter. As the bees buzz, butterflies flutter, and flowers bloom, so too do we witness the renewal of Tripleshot's favorite bromance.

Welcome back, Ste-lan!
