"Monday ride" on a Monday?

Post by Claire »

Thinking ahead here, since I won't be able to make either of this weekend's club rides. Anyone (Christian??) want to join me for the Monday ride on... Monday this time? Alpha St Sbux at 6am. Last time we added a little bonus climb up Petworth, because it's there. Company most welcome!

Circumstance may rob me also of riding this weekend—in which case I'd be very pleased to join you.

However, I'd presently proffer a probability presumption of 37%, give or take. :|

Hi Claire.

Is this the first official Monday ride of the year? I am 38% in.

Andrew

P.S. Rolf: you should be pretty proud of your prose ;)

Hmm, not sure if it would be the first official one... Maybe. Would that make me a pioneer for instigating/leading it? I do love me a fancy title, so let's say yes. I'm not terribly encouraged by your greater chance of showing up, though, Andrew.

By my calculations, I have a 165% chance of having company tomorrow morning. Yay! Or maybe a 100% chance of having two-thirds of another person join me... Anyway, I'll be at the prescribed place at the anointed hour. And I will try not to be too sad if I'm all alone.

There's a 90% chance you'll be getting a lesson in probability theory tomorrow morning.

I snuck a little pseudo-Sunday ride in this morning, Claire. Which you'd think would bring my paltry 37% down a few notches.

But in fact, this morning was such good fun (and with a forecast high of 23C tomorrow!) I can't help but want to get out there again as soon as possible. So I'm up around 82.5% right now.

I tend to be a few minutes late arriving at Alpha Bux, but I will try—really try—to leave earlier tomorrow morning. :?

Okay, I'm energized by the ride and Rolf's generous coffee + snacks post-ride and ready for my lesson now.

Anybody interested in doing this tomorrow? I'm lukewarm, at best... But if I wake up to beautiful conditions and the promise of forgiving (of my tired legs) riding buddies, I might drag my ass out there...

I'm out, Claire.

It's a great route and last week's ride was beautiful. But it also reminded me to listen to my body more closely. And if it's feeling thin and stretched, like right now, I will henceforth tell Rule 5 to go do something immoral to itself.

Well, aren't you all smarty-pants and non-badass. I think my leggies are feeling my rather gratuitously large mileage of the last week and they best follow the lead of your legs and remain (relatively) stationary tomorrow, too.

Was told after 20 minutes waiting, I had Just missed 2 dudes. I'm not sure if I did, but that means this is a no tardy ride 0600 sharp, not 0602. Any reason to ride is always a positive (even just to be tardy & fiddling about with Flaman). Where is the confirmation site, blog, chatter? (Totally my fault started heading to cook Starbucks). Hope you guys have a good one :)
