A colleague of mine in Helsinki has a 16 year old boy that wants to spend a year in a Canadian city learning English, going to high school and generally being immersed in English. Harri tells me that his boy Lauri is a keen student and they're interested in him spending September 2016 to about June 2017 in Victoria. This would obviously come with some support for his room and board, etc which would have to be worked out with his host, but I told him we may be only to host him for 3 or so of the months he's here in Victoria. (that is, if my own kid doesn't come back from Copenhagen to reclaim her bed).
Suffice to say, I wonder if there are any Tripleshotter families interested in hosting this boy for part or some of his stay in Victoria. If interested, talk to me on the ride and I'll give you more details or just send me an email: cassels@uvic.ca
