Nice to have some new victims along for the ride today!
Five of us left from Cook St SBUX: Brad, Fozzy, Christian, Claire and me. Along the way, we picked up Tony W, then Peter, then Garth.
Peter abandoned the cause at Island View – a monumental misstep, as he missed out on all the giggles and glee as the morning grew colder and wetter and windier. So many ways to suffer on a Saturday like today!
And although we lost Fozzy in the Uplands, he channeled his inner badass and stayed the course, rejoining us just before Sidney as we were packing up after fixing a flat.
Oh, and Claire had homemade cookies for all who chose to suffer like he-men and heroes today. Yay Claire. And three cheers for the heroic he-men (and she-woman) who pushed through their fear and ignored their inner weaklings and braved the elements and suffered in silence and survived to tell the tale.
