Somebody else is starting their workouts at 6:00 a.m. this week. Two guys are running the RVM route 7 days in a row as part of a fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters Victoria:

By my reckoning we're likely to see them along Ross Bay somewhere.
I always knew running was bad for the brain, but these guys have clearly lost the plot.

Re: Ultramarathoners on route
My buddy from work (who was our runner in the New Balance half iron LTC slackers relay team) knows both these guys. They sound like they're running about 4:00-4:30 marathons each day which puts them at the 10K mark at ross bay right around 7:00am.
Donald and Rob.
We should yell at them if we see them on friday.

Re: Ultramarathoners on route
I saw them this morning right about 7:00, all alone in the dark coming down the slope from Clover Point. I'd left the farm team in Oak Bay on a corner-cutting, solo mission owing to a lingering cold -- so I was all alone. But they seemed to appreciate my wild clapping, hooting and hollering.
You can pick 'em out of the earlybird crowd of runners by their black, knee-high, compression socks.
