Another great outing by the TS club, in cold but bright sunshine, on a technical course at the Squamish Logger Park. 25 TS riders attended out of 300+ participants.

17 youth team riders attended. Congratulations to Sarah Van Dam, u17 provincial cross champion 6 weeks after winning a u17 national track championship.

And to Riley Pickrell and Talia Hill, silver medallists in u17 boys and u15 girls respectively. Both had two crashes on the icy course, Riley's both when he was right on the winner's wheel, over whom he had a big sprint advantage if he'd arrived at the finish with him.

Very close were Remy Garrison, 4th in u13 boys, and Toria Kalyniuk and Olivia Gribbon 4th and fifth in u15, Casey Garrison 5th in u17.

In u15 girls Megan Barnes and Isla Walker were 8th and 10th. In u15 boys, Aedan Crocker and Griffin Hart were 6th and 7th. In u17: Jack Boden 6th, Josh Lin 7th, Sage Parikh 8th, plus Thomas Hill dnf, who crashed out with a head knock that suggested stopping was wiser (no concussion symptoms so far.), and Ethan Pauly DNF'd after a dropped chain and two flats, while in second at the time. Ryan Wakelin u19 dnf'd, but only after a very fast start, started coughing blood which seemed like a sign his recent cold was not as gone as he thought.

On the adult side, in women 50-59 Joanna Fox was 4th, Bernie Pauly 7th. In men 50-59 Hugh Hart 8th, Geoff Wong 14th yours truly 19th, in men 40-49 Darrell Barnes 35th, Dave Hill 46.
