My apologies to all for not emailing this out yesterday. I seem to mess this policy up a least once every fall season.

This Wednesday we will meet up at the small public park off of Maplegrove St (near the lochside trail) in Cordova Bay. See the google map link for more details:

Also, don't forget this Saturday there will be a morning clinic with the Whirly Whirl World Championships in Beacon Hill Park. Details @ http://victoria.organicathlete.org/cyclocross" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false

The last two weeks were 6:00, but this weeks notice didn't say, so I assume it's also 6:00.

John, I think Pete might be taking another run at you. The hillclimb wasn't the end ya know!

Another run at me? And all along I thought we were striving together.

How many points does he have?

Good evening,

This Wednesday's cross club will be at Robert Porter Park @ 6pm. If you google map the name it should come up. Its just off of Thurlow near Moss St. in Fairfield.

Just a gentle reminder: please do not come out early as it just increases the chance that we get shut down before we have had any fun bike practice.

See you Wednesday...

Rode last night with my 11 year old daughter Una and wife Jo and had a blast. The big crowd was a bit intimidating when they started passing us but we got no grief at all, even with world cup medalists like Alison Sydor and Geoff Kabush blowing by. The course was endlessly entertaining; we were always busy braking, shifting, cornering, climbing, descending. Excellent bikehandling practice and enough going on that it distracts you from the effort. Not too crazy technical riding though, it would be considered a green trail at Hartland mtb park, but with corners more often. Where else could you practice that front wheel drift for when it's icy? The range of ability was large, with Una not the slowest. Congrats to fellow TS'rs Roland, Gavin, Pete, Alan and Katie (did I miss any?)

Why all the cloak & dagger, Roland? Is this sport like disc golf: under the radar, unsanctioned by governments at all levels and almost impossible to insure? Does it chew up public greenspace and cause municipal gardeners to gnash their teeth?
