Re: How You doing Paula??????
Thanks for checking in.
Lots of nice folks at emergency and it was quick. They X rayed my shoulder and nothing is broken just bruised and banged up. The nurse first misread my xray and said I had a broken clavicle. I thought "WHAt? It doesn't hurt as much as I've heard clavicle breaks hurt. I must be tough ". But luckily she misread them. No breaks.
My head is okay, just glue puting a gash together. My shoulder is very sore and I will be off the bike for a bit, hopefully only a week or two. Suppose to start Physio next week. So all in all, I got off very easy in the grand scheme of things. It was the damn winter gloves and not feeling how hard I pulled on the brakes. But my hands were warm
This was completely my fault. Not even ice on the roads or deer to blame.
See you soon.

Paula! Get well soon, we'll miss you Thursday morning.

Really glad to hear you're not injured too badly Paula. Looking forward to seeing on the road soon and
remember that the stationary trainer is your new best friend. As for the crash being entirely your fault I have to disagree. I think we can all ride with a bit more space between riders with the lower overall speeds this time of year especially when it's expected to bunch up or slow down, ie cresting a hill or coming into a sharp corner. Take care and rest well.

Paula....keep healing quickly. Come for coffee next week even if you are not riding yet. Coffee.....and friends are the best medicine for the body and mind.
