Who's in for this Saturday Oct. 3rd? Disco on Oak Bay, 7:00 for coffee, rolling at 7:30. A couple hours of trails around the hood with some race pace cornering practice in preparation for Topaz Park.

I'm not in. Last time I showed up for a Cross Ride, wearing lipstick and a wig, the guys just stood there staring at me, mouths agape. I was almost sure they said "Cross-Dressing" Ride? Boy was that embarrassing.

I'm not in either, because I thought a "cross ride" looked like this, and nothing's more uncomfortable than a crown of thorns under your cycling helmet.
