Chris froome .

Post by jj12 »

Not that it matters but is he a nice guy ? Does he deserve to win? Does anyone have an opinion on him ?? I feel that since he is on team sky he is not very well liked... Having urine thrown on him by a spectator...I'd like to hear what the tripleshot forum has to say.

He is not especially endearing among the greater cycling community. His technical and almost robotic riding style has him subjected to comparisons of Armstrong type riding tactics, ie weight/wattage vs course difficulty. Not that modern winners can be as flamboyant in their efforts as riders of the past. I think he has unfortunately become the focus of disillusionment with cycling enthusiast and journalists alike.

He sure seems to be a way nicer guy than Voldemort (aka dopestrong). Even lobbied uci and wada to dope test at tenerife training camps.

That said, I have to embrace cognitive dissonance when I watch the tour. Like, how did he win stage 10 if his published power output was less than power numbers published by the rivals he beat? http://sportsscientists.com/2015/07/gre ... er-speeds/

On a more optimistic note, the story i hear about the Ontario u23 who just got penalized 3 years for possession of doping products, was reported by his cyclist house mates at a training camp in Arizona who had found boxes of epo. Maybe the culture is changing?
