Your timing was impeccable today Steve. It's possible you're more than just a wanker, you're a prophetic wanker. Just after our post-ride morning coffee and after we sailed back along the waterfront, (it was very windy from the west) I arrived home all refreshed, high on the usual trifecta of endorphins, caffeine and camaraderie. Then my mood took a catastrophic nose dive as I found in my own backyard the scene of utter raccoon carnage. Chicken feathers everywhere, and upon inspection I discovered those clever critters last night figured out how to undo the latch to the nesting area of my chicken coup. (note to file: I started with 8 chickens two years ago, and after today's massacre, I have 2). Your Strava-inspired raccoon now lives on the internet not just as the symbol of my nemesis, but as a memorial, a kind of permanent record to remind us that most of my finest hens (the ultra productive Rhode-Island Reds) have ended their lives by passing through the digestive systems of Fairfield racoons. Fricken murderous rodents! Remember when I spoke about my futuristic career as the owner of Bambi Burgers BBQ? I have decided that it's payback time. I will add raccoon to the menu. And probably peacock too. Spirit animals indeed!

That's awful, Alan. Condolences to you and the remaining two Rhode Island Reds.

Here...you can have my Strava chicken.

Now you've got me researching cooking tips on raccoons. Man, you can find ANYTHING on the Internet.

Kinda seems 'fair trade'. You eat my chickens. I eat you....

You both are very touching and sensitive individuals and not really wankers.

Will there be a memorial ceremony for the racoons? Alan, I recall you having a different " racoon incident" a couple of years ago.
