Volunteer Opportunities

Post by AlW »

TripleShot is sponsoring a number of events in the next few months, but these events can't happen without you. So polish up that volunteer spirit and give back to the club that provides you so much joy throughout the year.

Just open up the Volunteer Spreadsheet and type in your name. It's that easy!

Volunteers needed for the new "Legislature Criterium" - June

Post by John D »

Hi all;

As you may have heard, the the Dallas Road TT is no longer pat of the Cameron Law Cycling Series. In recent years, Tripleshot has provided 20 volunteers to marshals the TT event, in return for which the club received $500. This year, Tripleshot and IRC have been asked to arrange marshals for the new "Legislature Criterium" on Sunday June 7th: http://www.victoriabikerace.com/#!grandprix/c200h

Basically, they need 30 marshals and three "corner captains" - so we need to come up with at least 15 for our share. We need to get on this ASAP. For what it's worth (and no offense to TT fans), I'm expecting this will be a pretty exciting event, so here's YOUR chance to step up and give something back to YOUR club.

Any takers? Please Reply below.

Given the first crit starts at 8, and the elite men (75K) start at 1, it looks like marshalls are likely needed for an 8-hour period. Are you only looking for people who can commit to the entire day? Or are shifts possible?

We are looking for people to take a 3hr shift - either 8:00am-11:00am, or 11:00-2:00pm. If anyone feels like covering the whle 6hrs, that'd be fine, too.

I am in for volunteer duty on this one (June 7 @ Legislature Crit) Save me a good corner to marshall with lots of people around. I'm a people person :)

Couldn't find it on the spreadsheet.

I've added the Legislature Crit info to our volunteer spreadsheet and pasted the names of all those who've replied to this thread there as well. If you want to volunteer, and we still needs lots more help, please add YOUR name here: http://tinyurl.com/makypyv

Thanks,
