Hi guys
Just wondering if there is going to be any trespassing this year? I don't mind either way, I am just wondering what jersey to wear? Haha
I have to check my work schedule, but tentative I am in.

If in doubt, wear Escape/Velocity.
I've got an obnoxious helmet. It's green.

Thanks for sharing the ride folks. We had 10 riders to start with the furthest riding group of four making it to coffee at the end.

Special thanks to Paul for planning and organizing this one...and then turning back early to go to work :)

Looking forward to a dirtier colder one later this month!

Thanks for the ride everyone. Sorry I didn't make it to the bitter end. I'd have kept going except:

1. Having only ridden road-slick 23s for the past four years, my brand new off-road 28 tires made it feel like I ws riding through sand

2. I wasn't expecting a "Gee, how fast do you think we can go?" pace (see Point 1 above)

3. I got dropped by two guys on mountain bikes...repeatedly

4. Somebody had to keep our fearless leader company on his way back to town

The pace of the ride was too fast really, and despite efforts to slow it down, was probably the primary contributing factor in folk turning back.
I think for the next gravel grinder, we ensure that the pace is with the slowest rider, and that we ride as a group.
Let's save the fast pace for the races!!!!

Second the motion. Note to self: 120k on a mountain bike not such a smart idea. Thanks Fozzy for staying with me to the (bitter) end even after I started to get wobbly. All in all a great adventure look forward to October 26th. (Think I'll beg borrow steal a cross bike). Here are some pictures from the ride . . .
