Spinathon - Sunday Aug 16

The first Spinathon to raise money in conjunction with the Nanaimo2Victoria (Cops for Cancer) ride is set to go this coming Sunday from 9am to 3pm. Its at the Blethering Place Tearoom (outside) and runs during the Oak Bay Tea Party / Car Show.

So we need a few brave and hardy souls to bring their bikes out and get spinning while we rake in dough to beat cancer! Anyone able to give a half hour- hour of spinning? Let us know... Cant leave it all up to the Tripleshot ladies..........

If you have a preferred time sign up first and its yours.

All you need is a bike - and I KNOW you all have one of those...

"This coming Sunday", means next Sunday. I should have read the subject line more carefully - skipped the 7am Starbucks mtg so I'd be available for the Oak Bay spin today. Oh well. Coffee at Pure Vanilla will seem like cheating today - just a little.

Well done Peter, anything >40 km/hr is amazing.

Crap! Sorry John. It is next Sunday not today. My fault. And man am I feeling guilty - mostly because of the impact on your coffee consumption!

Oh and Karen and I are booked for a 1/2 hour of spinning fun at 1:00.

Anyone else able to convince their spouse to join in the fun?

I assume that Bill "The Hip" Ethier will do a session as he is fully committed to riding a trainer.....

I'll be there at 9:00 or soon thereafter for a half hour. I can probably come back during nap-time for the last hour from 2:00 to 3:00.

I look forward to the day when my life doesn't revolve around a 2 year-old's metabolism.

Hey guys,

If you have the chance, roll down to Hampshire and Oak Bay ave to support Kim and Joe's efforts to raise some cash for cancer research.

Lots of riders in TripleShot jerseys by the time I left, including Mike L causing women to swoon (and throw money at him) by spinning to a cadence of 174!!
