Roland,

I've been looking for a fork for my 1998 S Works mountain bike (remember the Mountain Dew, Ned Overand green?) for years. Do you think yours will be suitable?

Should work. The lockout isn't functioning, but everything else was working when it came off my 2008 Rocky Mountain Element. If you are using v-brakes you should be able to steal the mounts from your current fork. Otherwise, I'm not sure where you would find v-brake mounts in this day and age. It has disc mounts as well. I think a 1998 bike would have had a slighter shorter fork than 100mm, but it shouldn't affect the handling very much.

Ti-Fighter is still forsale, but I've cleaned it up so it doesn't look like a junker anymore.

I spent some time with this bicycle over the past few weeks. It kind of blew my mind. PB's fell to the side of the road like cherry blossoms in the wind.

I went out and bought the closest thing to this Ti Fighter I could afford (I wanted discs and that new bike smell  ), but part of me will always look back on my time with this bike and threaten to sit down and write a sonnet about it.
