The only maintenance I've done on my bike over the last 3 years is to change tires, tubes, brake pads and the chain. Its my summer bike, my winter bike, my only road bike and strange noises were starting to emanate from various places. Time for some professional TLC so I decided to check out VeloFix. Brent has been out supporting local races and events- the big red van and used to be a mechanic at OBB.
I surfed over to velofix.com and signed up for a 'Domestique' tune-up. Brent called a little before the scheduled time to let me know he was running a few minutes late to make sure I would still be there. Once parked in our driveway, he took a look at the bike and asked if there were any special things he should take a look at. We went over the noises and he suggested new bar tape (mine was ripped) and showed me a kink in a cable. Some cleaning, new BB bearings, some cable housings, service the rear hub, tweak the rear wheel and my bike is singing and silent like it was new.
I saved tons of time by having VeloFix come to me, rather than go to a shop, the work was impeccable and TS members get 10% off. Big thumbs up.
Velofix- great service
