So what do you do with a Mountain Bike?

I might have just picked up a mountain bike and there might be an Xterra triathlon on Sunday (I wonder if there is a link between those two statements?)

I have never ridden a Mtn Bike and was thinking about going out to Hartland (I have heard that is the place to go) on Thursday after work. Are any of you 'real' mountain bikers interested in showing me the ropes? I was thinking of going around 6:00 or so...

Great! So, is there somewhere specific at Hartland to meet at 6:00? Also, since it is a triathlon wearing a TT helmet is okay, right?
