All members invited. We're thinking a pot luck appetizer/tapas evening might alleviate a line-up for the bbq/oven/kitchen. Everyone ok with that? Maybe post what you're thinking of bringing to avoid 13x three layer bean dip and chips. Come to think of it, how about no bean dip at all?
Our kids will be away, so we're thinking no kids, but let me know if that's a problem for anyone.
We also have a 'open wood bbq*' that we can sit around when it gets cool.
Thanks Lister- assuming actually showing up for the rides isn't a prerequisite for coming I'll be there. Val too- and we'll bring some big salad thing.
Good to hear from you Chris. Mending well? (Pete, better check the membership list.) Sorry I missed you all this morning. Stayed up late to watch a movie and apparently switched off the alarm without really waking up.
Re Thursday, the weather: http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/CABC0313 shows rain showers Thursday. Would Wed work instead? We'll only change if I hear back from everyone who has indicated they are coming. But the, er, 'wood bbq' is much nicer to sit around without rain.
Oh yeah, the address is 1058 Davie Street, 1/2 block south of Oak Bay Ave; the science store and home hardware are on the corner. Don't tell Mike though.
I guess I gotta pay someone to become a member so I can come eat bean dip another time.
B.t.w. Max at Fairfield Bikes waved a greasy magic wand and the old Bianchi's purring along now -- bent rear axle replaced, new chain etc. I still got blown away on this morning's A ride, but at least now I can't blame my bike! Thanks again for the referral.

Hey Rolf, I'm sure Pete can take your form and cheque Thursday.
Thanks of the offer of chairs. We have 5, plus four dining type. If everyone brings enough for themselves, we should be ok.
By the way, cyclists always blame their bikes. Here's to you not falling into that.
But just in case you do get sucked into the Cervelo dimension, the Bianchi will make an ideal winter bike that won't shatter if you drop it, or demand $150 chains every three months.
Weird. It turns out that several people in the morning were commenting on what a great guy "Chris Watt" is. It seems that the new guy is a real fan favorite - sorry.
