Yes --I rode with the A's today, if only to reacquaint myself with my old friends, Solitude, Humility and Exhaustion. Only got dropped twice, but manage to cheat and weasel back into the pack on about the second lap or so, so I got to see the sprint finish.
If anyone had joined me on that barren stretch of nothingness known as The Uplands they would have heard me trying to sing the famous Bobby Vinton' 1962 hit song, "Mr. Lonely" which goes like this:
"Lonely, I'm Mr. Lonely
I have nobody for my own..."
WARNING: Mr. Vinton has an unnaturally high voice....and when he sings he sounds like someone has his nuts in a vice and he's wincing and gasping for breath. Kinda like me this morning.
