Regular Sunday - July 7

Post by Plawless »

just making sure there is a regular Sunday ride while the mad folks do a "big loop" and the hammerheads race at Windsor Park..... Fairfield Starbucks @ 7:30

Should be fun and not loaded up with crazies...

Peter, I'm in but am looking for big distance this weekend while staying short of the complete idiocy the Loopy Ones are undertaking. (Yes, Sensei. I know, Sensei.)

Am thinking of doing Land's End, Willis/Munn's, and then going to pick up the Gillespie loop. Mt Matheson is Right Out. Would love to start with the group and keep company with those who want to continue with us.

Now, at the risk of introducing Dangerous Change, would you consider starting from The Hub and Spoke?

Despite my almost Shrek-like aversion to change I am not in favour or changing the START of a ride as its impossible to be sure that everyone gets the message as not everyone reads the forum (although they should). So I am afraid I vote "no" and will be at Fairfield Starbucks at 7:25 for a regular Sunday ride.

Fair enough. If I don't turn up at Starbucks, rest assured that I am not lost, but merely demolished my alarm clock.

If the Hub is open again (is it?) for sure it's a good idea to meet there before the ride - just make sure you leave in time to get to Fairfield by 7:25. No regular weekly group ride in the world changes its route or start location. If the route was changed there would be confusion and crashes and if the location changed riders would miss the ride. Not acceptable.

Is there a Windsor park this week? I thought it was the observatory hill climb?

Edit: I just saw Roland's post. It's the hill climb.

Hi Eric;

Correct - it's the hill climb. Check the dates between Kate's and Sylvan's posts - there's a 2 month gap.
