Looking for something basic, with 20" wheels, to fit an an 8yr-old. Doesn't need gears, coaster brake is fine, too.

Trek Pro City sells used and new kids bikes and they have a trade in program where you can get up to 50% of the cost of the bike back when your kid outgrows it

John, I have a 5 spd Norco, pinkish colour. Has had lots of use, but everything is working well.

Thanks Greg;Greg Miller wrote:John, I have a 5 spd Norco, pinkish colour.
Hmm...depends on whether I can convince a 7yr-old boy that "pinkish" really means "red". I'll let you know.

Greg: if things don't work out for John, I might have a fan of pink who could take your bike off your hands. Her birthday's at the end of the month.

Would love to pass it on to you Rolf. Let me know when you want to check it out.
Re: Looking for a kid's bike
Hi Greg...really sorry for not replying before now. In any case, apparently "pinkish" is NOT red, according to 7yr-old boys. I hope Rolf's daughter enjoys the bike!

Re: Looking for a kid's bike
John, I've got two bmx bikes that we are going to get rid of. One is a cool retro chrome frame, and the other is a decent Kuwahara Hawk. $25 and $50 respectively. Two brakes, one speed..lots of fun. PM me if interested (or anyone else)

Hi Rob...thanks, but we found a suitable bike just yesterday! I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding someone to take these off your hands.
