Challenges on teh Starvas

Post by sylvan »

Any rides planned to attain success in the two new challenges coming up? There's the Crack Power Trip starting tomorrow, where I think you just have to ride 100 miles on one of the next three days. This is not really a challenge since it's the minimum distance one should ride weekly as a long ride. I mean, obvs. Then there's the 15 hours or something next week. Something to do with Australia. ??? Both of these are actually pretty good since they follow up on the base mile blast thing from January. I'll be in base mile mode 'til the end of March anyway. Having more success with that now than in January. Next week should be good here for the 15 hours of Australia.

You're starting to sound like you're over your "days off" fiasco of the past few weeks. I acknowledge your efforts in attaining minimum tolerable training volumes.
I am slightly concerned you sound thankful for sunny weather to do these minimum km rides. I assume you would obviously prefer to be doing them in the wind and rain in Victoria, but it is not logistically possible.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

10 degrees and rain yesterday. That was almost character-building. Obviously one degree and sideways sleet is optimal.

There's another one now. Something like 32 hours between March 2 and March 17. That's three weekends so you only need 3 hours during the week and 8 hours on the weekend. Easy. They haven't announced the challenge I suggested to them. It might be because they're weak. Total distance of the three grand tours between the first day of the Giro and the last day of the Vuelta.
