Today's Sunday ride

Post by John D »

Hi all...

Just curious what others thought of the decision to break into two groups at the start of today's ride? Personally, I thought it worked very well - the fast riders got to ride fast, while the rest of us....well, you know. By my count there were 19 in the "B" group and at least a dozen or so in the "A" group. What with people departing at various points thereafter, re-grouping into one group after Island View seemed to work, too (at least until the mechanical).

Thanks to Peter for the suggestion.

It seemed to work well for the "A" group. I think smaller groups are more manageable and less annoying for motorists. Also, thanks to those who lent me CO2 and waited for me after my flat and fumbling tube change.

Right on John. I felt that the two groups were the way to go fer sure. And we were two groups working together. We had two mechanicals and we didnt leave either man behind. One mech at Matticks and then Stephs Mech after Island View. It seemed liked the natural way to go. Good dicipline was shown as people were attentive in trying to form two roughly even groups that were aware of each other.
And yeah Steph, we were happy to hang and wait for your second inflation as that sunshine was beaming down at the time and it felt good. Good job on the fix sir!
