If he'd done that a year ago he could have had the lifetime suspension reduced to 8 years. Now, not so much.

I think the carrot of a complete Armstrong confession may get a shorter ban. Hamilton afer all was caught twice.
In Armstrong's case, there is such a long line of people who he abused, sued or forced from the sport that I'm doubtful a confession will happen.
