Wow.
I sold my old fenders, the ones with three microns of tire clearance, the ones that take an hour and a box of zip-ties to install every fall, the ones that have the Limonata can flap-extensions... I sold them with my old road bike this week.
And it started pouring.
So I went by OBB and said, "Fenders." And they handed me SKS Race Blade Long fenders. I confess that I feel a little guilty linking to probikekit, because their price is significantly lower than OBB's, but I'm chalking this up to supporting my LBS and paying an appropriate penalty for being disorganized.
These guys fasten at the quick-release and to little metal parts that slip under your brake bolt. You only have to loosen it off a bit: no need to pull the bolt entirely. These are going to be fast-on, fast-off. And they worked fabulously in today's rain. Quiet, solid, effective. Get this: I only swore twice while I put them on, and once was because David had strewn my allen keys all over the garage.
All I have to do now is tack a Limonata can to the rear one and I'm good to go!
