I was cold and I had to stand out there for almost an hour. Luckily Jimmy gave me a ride home. I did however get to wear a sweet hard hat and safety vest.
There were 3 racers out in the baby blue. I haven't seen any results yet, so I'll let them report on their races.

well it was a dark and stormy night...... (actually the conditions were dry but windy.) It was a blustery ride.
However, there was a gang of (who knew?) THREE Tripleshotters out looking for an early season benchmark. Dolly, Eric and I raced while Roland got to wear a hard hat and yellow vest (very snazzy Roland ).
The times were generally on the slow side due to conditions but everyone of our gang seemed to do well.
Dolly did her first ever bike race (collective cheering!!) and averaged 33.75 km/h - Kudos Dolly! Maybe its going to be Dolly's new TT bike and not Eric's (*gasp*)!!!
Eric also did great averaging 35.26km/h on his road bike without any aero bars etc (and bear in mind he was out hammering away in the morning ride as well!). I confess to having a creeping fear of Eric getting a TT bike if he can do what he did last night in bad conditions and not even in the aero position!
I had a pretty good ride as well. I was about 40 seconds off my best time from last year but still managed to post my 2nd best time ever (not really a huge accomplishment when you consider its only the 4th time I have posted a time!). Overall I was fairly happy with my time particularly given that its May and there is lots of time to get fitter & faster.
Looking forward to seeing more Argyle out in the weeks to come. This is a great way to get a measure of personal fitness and even those who dont race ought to consider coming out one night to see what you have in the tank! Its a crazy easy course that isnt too long.....
