Just drove Courtenay to Parksville on the inland Island highway and saw a rando check-station northbound, followed by randonneurs trickling along the shoulder nothbound.
However, about 20km north of Parksville there was an ambulance and paramedics attending to someone in the ditch, along with a bunch of cyclists. It was just after a long uphill and it's stinking hot, which makes me think of a cardiac event.
Hope all ends well.
Rando Casualty?

Re: Rando Casualty?
Parksville put on their annual Bike for Life ride, with check in stations for the different routes. I hope the casualty is not serious
